LAFOIP Parent Information

Schools get many requests from parents and guardians for Proof of Enrolment.  Request reasons may include Canada Revenue Agency, Passport Canada, Child Tax Benefit, Residency, Work Visas, etc.

Please be advised that information from this office can only be provided within the following criteria:

• Information can only be provided for student who are currently attending this school. If your student attended here in the past but is currently registered at another Saskatchewan school, the student's current school holds all the student information and your request MUST go to that school.
• Only legal parents/guardians are permitted information and they must be listed in the student's record.
• All requests should be written and emailed, mailed, or delivered to the school office.  Phone inquiries will need to be followed up with a written request.
• Email requests should be sent to the school from the email listed on the student's record for that parent/guardian.
• All requests must provide the full name of the requesting person and a contact phone number.
• Identification confirming the requestor’s identify may be required, even if your student attends the school.
• Provide full details of the information you are seeking.
• If possible, provide the letter from the requesting agency.
• Provide ample time for the request to be reviewed and information to be gathered.
• Information requested will not be sent home with students, it will be shared with the requesting legal guardian by email or mail.
• Information to parents/guardians of students 18 years or older may require the permission from the adult-aged student.
• Graduated students, third party agencies, step-parents without legal guardianship: information requests must be completed through the LAFOIP form and there may be a fee.  https://www.nesd.ca/Division/LAFOIP
